Realtime Fatigue Monitoring System wins Oil & Gas Engineering Product of the Year award

Product of the Year Silver AwardDecember 14, 2017 – Stress Engineering Services is proud to be a Silver Award winner in the very first Oil & Gas Engineering ‘Product of the Year’ awards, with the Realtime Fatigue Monitoring System (RFMS) identified as one of the best products introduced to the oil and gas market in the “Data & Analytics” category.

With a focus on innovation, Oil & Gas Engineering is a global magazine, newsletter and website platform providing engineers, automation and operations professionals with up-to-date information on the new technologies, products and processes that support production and efficiencies from the wellhead to the refinery.

The RFMS provides field measurements of stress and fatigue on drilling risers, wellheads and other subsea systems in near real time. The RFMS significantly improves riser integrity management by using measured data and advanced algorithms at strategic locations to reconstruct stress and fatigue damage along the entire riser. The RFMS can also significantly reduce downtime with commensurate cost savings. The real-time stress and fatigue information provided by the RFMS will prove increasingly useful as riser design boundaries are extended, and as structural integrity management becomes a preeminent concern in deepwater drilling and production operations.

The 2017 Product of the Year awards will be presented to the winners at the 2018 Engineering Awards in Manufacturing dinner, held in Chicago on Monday, April 16, 2018. For more information, and a complete listing of this year’s winners, visit the CFE Media website.
