Brent Vyvial Appointed Principal and Midstream Practice Lead

HOUSTON (Jan. 25, 2018) – Stress Engineering Services, Inc., (SES) the global leader in consulting engineering services, has appointed Brent Vyvial as principal and lead of its midstream practice. Based in Houston, Brent will oversee the midstream group, manage project and personnel activity and coordinate business development within the practice.

Brent joined SES in 2006 as an analyst and is currently a principal in the company. His research activities at Stress have included studies associated with design of subsea flowlines and SCRs using the strain-based rules of API RP 1111; investigations of composite pipeline repair systems at elevated temperatures conducted for manufacturers and pipeline operators; and numerous full-scale test programs to evaluate pipeline anomalies.

Chuck Miller, SES vice president, said, “Brent has extensive experience in full-scale testing and analysis of pipeline anomalies as well as pipeline repair methods. He has also designed non-standard tests for a variety of onshore and offshore oilfield equipment and has experience designing and utilizing data acquisition systems. Brent brings critical skills and knowledge to his new role of leading our midstream practice and we are delighted to have him as part of the team.”

Brent holds a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University.
