Stress Engineering Services and Enventure Global Technology team up to perform virtual remote test monitoring

Virtual Remote MonitoringHOUSTON (May 26, 2020) – Virtual technologies have never been more important in the workplace than during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through use of virtual remote monitoring and communication, we are able to efficiently perform component testing while maintaining project schedules despite health-related concerns and travel restrictions.

Stress Engineering Services, Inc. and Enventure Global Technology  recently collaborated to develop and execute a test plan for an ISO Certification Test of a downhole component required by a major operator. The test plan comprised an 8-hour test that required witnessing by both companies and the overseas operator. Through use of a virtual meeting space, team members were able to witness the test from their homes in four different cities in two countries. Every individual was able to preview and approve the set-up, view a live video feed of the test and data streams, as well as maintain verbal communication to enable making decisions in real time when needed.

Prior to the current global pandemic, most of these individuals would have traveled to the test location to witness these tests in person. The use of a virtual meeting space provided the flexibility to fully execute this critical test while maintaining everyone’s health and safety, adhering to current WHO and CDC guidelines. The operator monitored the test program remotely and was very pleased with the outcome. Equally important, their project schedule for this component was not delayed by the pandemic.

At Stress Engineering Services, we believe that the benefits of virtual monitoring technologies are significant, and that their use will continue to expand in projects for every industry we serve.
